Jikiden Reiki

RELAX, REBALANCE, RECONNECT

Jikiden Reiki is rooted in the same principles as many Eastern healing traditions, such as acupuncture and reflexology. These practices all share the belief that every person, animal, and plant has a natural flow of energy within them—known as Ki (or chi). When Ki moves freely, we feel well and balanced. But when that flow becomes blocked or disrupted, it can affect our physical and emotional health.

Like acupuncture and reflexology, Reiki helps encourage the smooth flow of Ki, supporting the body’s own natural ability to heal. During a session, some people enjoy chatting, while others prefer quiet. Many become deeply relaxed—some drift into sleep, while others enter a peaceful, meditative state. There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki; your body will guide the process and receive exactly what it needs.

There are many styles of Reiki, and I practice Jikiden Reiki, which means “directly handed down” in Japanese. It stays closely connected to the original teachings and the Reiki Gokai (Precepts) for Health and Happiness written by Mikao Usui. Western Reiki, also founded by Usui, evolved over time as it spread through the West, but Jikiden Reiki preserves the traditional approach and philosophy.

During a session, you remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on the Reiki bed with the lights dimmed. I gently place my hands on different areas of the body, allowing the energy to guide me to where support is needed. At the end, I perform Ketsueki Kokan Ho—a technique somewhat similar to a light massage, used to support the release of toxins and encourage healthy energy flow.

I offer Reiki for both people and animals, either in person or from a distance. Distance Reiki simply requires a few details from you to help me connect. I’m also trained to support individuals with psychological challenges such as addictions and phobias, using traditional Jikiden methods.

My intention is always to create a safe, calming space where healing, balance, and inner peace can naturally unfold.

Allow up to 1.5 hours for a session. This will give us time to chat before and after the session.

In-person treatments cost $70.

I find in-person sessions are usually better, but I can offer Enkaku Chiryo (or Enkaku Reiki) distance treatments.

Distance treatments cost $60 a session, which lasts 1 hour.

I will discuss the best time for the treatment with you and send a message after the end of the session.
